Bepita, bringing homemade pitas to Amsterdam
Amsterdam’s opulent Magna Plaza, the high-end retail space in the heart of the city centre, has opened its doors to a new food experience. Uniting local favourites with new flavours, The Food Department is Amsterdam’s latest hotspot offering a culinary trip around the world with thirteen unique food stands and three bars.
With this magnificent interior renovation, THE ENTOURAGE GROUP launched their latest creative food concept: Bepita, a culinary adventure drawing inspiration from a bountiful Middle Eastern marketplace. Bepita is a feast for the senses, serving artisanal street food in a gorgeous, expansive interior.
Take a journey through new flavours—imagine entering a vibrant Middle Eastern market filled with rich aromas of grilled meats, herbs and spices. The menu at Bepita combines spicy, sweet and savoury flavours with fresh, homemade pita bread, available in white or whole wheat options. Handheld pita pockets are served at a vibrant and interactive dining experience, positioned centrally at the largest kiosk in The Food Department.
At Bepita, light, airy pita bread is the star of the show, and it’s prepared daily using traditional techniques. The soft dough is baked in a clay oven until golden brown and glistening with a splash of olive oil. Pita is a delicious staple of Middle Eastern cuisine, and the soft bread creates a perfect pouch to hold a unique combination of spiced fillings for a taste that takes you to the promised land…with a new twist on the traditional, handheld meal.
Grab a drink and take a seat at the bar where visitors can mix and mingle at Bepita’s sociable, open kitchen concept. Bepita is an exciting dining experience that the guests will enjoy with all their senses. Thrilling aromas rise from the grill as you delight in the colourful sights and sounds of Bepita’s expert staff tending to a flaming grill as they prepare your homemade pita on the spot.
Each pita pocket is packed full of fresh, healthy ingredients and doused with savoury herbs and zesty spices. Embark on your own taste adventure—guests have ample options to choose from including, vegetarian friendly grilled vegetables and roasted mushrooms, along with juicy lamb kebab, lean cuts of steak, succulent chicken or spicy fish. Top it off with a spoonful of creamy tahini or spicy zhug sauce made on location. The soft pita bread absorbs all the sweet and savoury flavours to create a delicious harmony with every bite.
